MY PAINTINGS, a Reflection of My Society.

The title -De Calabash Rhythm Unveiled I, a new 5 series abstract acrylic painting on canvas, with 3ft by 3ft in size. This art is the beginning of a series painting, i call it, the part one.
Imaginatively inspired from my vocabulary of African symbols, motifs, patterns drawn from my society- it’s cultural and traditional local craft and designs like the Fulani decorative Calabash design, Hausa woven cap, Yoruba batik & tie dyed cloth designs……
My imagination as an artists is a residue of all visual and audio influence I have experience all this years in life. That is why it is said that – An Artist is a product of his/her society. My paintings is a reflection of my society.
