COLOURFUL THOUGHTS: A Decorative Mixed media Painting on Cartrigde Paper.

This is getting my hands and my head busy and thinking, working with space, contrast, shape and the beauty of lines on this Decorative Mixed media Painting on Cartridge Paper . Exploring acrylic, pastel, pencil, pen and marker. All are to express my experimental mind for the day. A week or month without a new art or an art in progress is like something is missing in my life or am just in an empty space.

Creating an art piece is one of my greatest joy, is like a mother holding her new born child after the pain and labour of child birth. A New Small Sized Contemporary Mixed media Painting on Chipboard.

I am running short of ideas and words for my post recently, anytime am on my system i just keep staring at the screen not knowing what to type, but today I told myself- i have to post something, no matter what!

This is one of my series of my Small Sized Contemporary Mixed media Painting on a Chipboard exploring buttons and acrylic, with a dimension in 40cm/20cm. The art is born out of a concept of working during periods of inadequate time and materials to paint. At least to make an Artistic Statement for the Day whether small or big.

A New Mini Colourful Landscape Painting on Chipboard

A Mini Colourful Landscape Painting on Chipboard exploring acrylic to paint my Imaginary Beach Scape with the African concept. Recently, I have made series of mini paintings on chipboard, due to lack of resources to create big paintings.

However, last week i was able to make some sales to raise money to buy colours and materials to create Big Sized Mixed media Paintings, but am having limited time to create some because my school where i teach creative art is on section. I cant wait for the holiday which is in August to pour out a new mind on my canvas.

A Small Sized Abstract Mixed media Painting on Chipboard, titled- The Passage House.

A Small Sized Abstract Mixed media Painting on Chipboard using acrylic and buttons, dimension in 40cm by 20cm. I titled the art “The Passage House“. The theme- passage house, is a house built in Nigeria with a passage with rooms facing each other. The Passage House can also be called Face Me I Face in Nigerian slang.

The house is occupied by the poor, where a room is lived in by a family with wife and children, some with wives and many children in one room- can you imagine. To crown it all, the passage house, is a house with public toilet (a pit toilet), bath room and kitchen.

It is a house with out the privacy of the occupant, one can picture or see scenes where occupants queue at the bath room, toilet for their turn. Any time i see houses like this i try to imagine what is really going on with in and when i see children living in there, i feel for them.

This abstract mixed media painting is an expression of how i feel towards the House- “The Passage House“.
