African Modern Painting: THE ELDERS.

a modern African colourful painting of patterns by Eghosa Raymond Akenbor
Some much have been expressed in this African Modern Art piece of colours and patterns. Staring at my finished intellectual piece of Art sometimes I am short of words to blog about it because my words and feelings have been translated into colours, lines, shapes and patterns on a 2 dimensional surface. I also develop phobia not to make grammatical errors in my literally expression 😁😂😁
However, I have to talk about my creation, even if it’s anyhow, I have to say it. This African Modern Painting is titled “The Elders”. The set of individuals called Elders are very significant in every society especially in African- specifically Nigeria. Their age, position and experience/wisdom they have acquired in their duration on earth makes they very important and a custodian of culture, norms and traditions of the land.
In my society, traditional marriages, funerals in families cannot take place without the Elders carried along, they tell you how it is done in accordance to the traditional of the land. Some of them can be so frustrating but as a young man we have to be patient with them, because we are the ones to replace them when they are gone.
Like the popular adage in my society- What an old man sees sitting down, a young boy will never see, even if he climbs on a tree.
Wow! I have written a lot, I have to stop here before I write out of point. Enjoy, feel and be inspired by my Modern African Painting.

“WHEN WE ARE HAPPY”: A Contemporary African Painting.

contemporary African mixed media painting by Eghosa Raymond Akenbor
“When We Are Happy” this is the title for this multifaceted African Contemporary Art. The uniqueness or genuineness of an Art piece or any kind of Art either music, play/drama, literally work of art…… reflect the personality, the state of mind of the creator.
In the process of painting this art piece i played a lot of music in my studio, at a time I had to stop working and dance to the music. In this Contemporary African Mixed media Painting I painted my taught and feeling of happiness.
When one achieve his or her expectations and desire or dreams, the joy, the celebration and happiness is boundless. However, true happiness and joy comes from God the most high and it is freely given through his son Jesus.

abstract African acrylic painting by Eghosa Raymond Akenbor
After finishing this piece of art, I was kind of short of title for it. When I stare at the painting for hours all I could only see was my concept of depicting a lady with her hair tied Africanly, wearing a bold red ear rings. But no idea of a title for it.
A friend of my that is dear to me saw it and gave it this title- Her Beauty. And I love it, also the giver of the title of this Contemporary Abstract Painting is beautiful. The ever beauty of woman is beyond the exterior its internal.

Contemporary Art piece on Chipboard

Creating this Contemporary Art piece is like exercising my imagination and bringing to reality illustrations, memories of African patterns, designs, motifs, symbols, inscriptions, sculptures etc. All these memories are which I creatively explore in 2 dimensional form.
“A View from Here” is the title of this Contemporary Art piece on Chipboard. What is your view from where you are? Is it bright, hopeful or hopeless? Situations around can be hopeless and dark but always see beyond where you are- A view of a bright future.
A man of vision, is a man of hopeful view to any situation.

My art is beyond aesthetics, that is how I want it to be, it should not be only just fine but inspiring. An engineer, a musical artiste, a designer, a business personal, anyone, should see the art and be inspired, it should be more than just being exhibited on the wall.
An idea, memory, taught, a feeling should strike the mind as you see and view my African Contemporary Abstract Painting on Chipboard, titled – Aesthetic Speech. Before I conclude this post, I will ask this questions. Are your words Aesthetical? Are your words full with Negativity or Positivity or good?
The words one says matters a lot. Please make an effort to give Aesthetic Speech. It goes a long way to give hope and encouragement to your hearers.

“The Ark of Creation….. which is the Mind” the title of the above abstract painting expressed on a chipboard. The mind, the Brian is everything about a human, that is while the African traditional sculpture lay emphasis on the head- a big head sculptural figure. Because of the significance of the brain which is also the mind.
The mind, where creation is conceived, imaginations are created. The totality of this abstract acrylic art is imaginary and inspired by my environment.
